I began the read while waiting on my oil change--when the tech came to tell me everything else that needed to be swapped out, changed, replaced, other than the oil change I just said "yeah, sure, whatever it needs". I'm not sure if the car was worth the extra work; but the time I got to spend reading while waiting certainly was!
